HOW YOU CAN HELP

Our Community Lottery is about more than the chance to win a prize—it’s about investing in the future of Dalbeattie. Every ticket helps fund community initiatives and events that bring people together, improve local spaces and create opportunities for everyone. Together, we’re turning a little luck into a lasting difference.

What is the Lottery?

A lottery game with a cash prize each month. Half the money in the prize will be paid out as prizes, so more players, means more, bigger prizes! The other half will go towards helping The Initiative continue their work within Dalbeattie.

When is the draw?

The draw will be made on the last Friday of each month (unless advertised otherwise). The draw will be recorded and the video will be posted on the lottery Facebook page with the winning number displayed in the Initiative Shop.

What if I win?

Winner(s) will be notified by email, or other appropriate means, within one week of the draw. Prize money will be paid by bank transfer.

How do I play the Initiative Lottery?

Cash > visit our shop and select a numbered ticket from numbers available that month. Unfortunately credit/debit cards cannot be accepted. Please make sure that you leave your contact information so that we can contact you if you win!

Standing Order > send an email to dcilotto@gmail.com stating which number you want and quoting your date of birth. Numbers from 1 to 100 are initially available, but more will be added as the lottery grows. You will receive an email advising if your chosen number was available and what to do next. Once you have your number(s) you must set up a  standing order to make payment.
