Colliston Park is in the centre of Dalbeattie and is open all year round.

The Initiative has partnered with Dumfries and Galloway Council to improve facilities at Colliston Park to ensure inclusive play for all.

The aim is to replace equipment that is now over 20yrs old with play equipment that better meets the diverse needs of our community.

Community consultation began online in early 2024, with focus groups, and at public events. The gathered information has been compiled and reviewed by steering group to complete the consultation report. Click here to view the consultation document.

Next Steps – use the consultation results to develop a brief for the purchase and installation of the equipment. £120,000 from Scottish Government’s Play Park Renewal Fund has been secured by Dumfries and Galloway Council to partially fund the initiative, further funding opportunities are being investigated.
