1st Stewartry Rangers

Rangers is for girls aged 14 to 18. Rangers will wear a brand new uniform, meet up regularly, have fun doing activities together and be recognised for their achievements with badges and awards. Young women in Rangers will follow our programme of interest badges, skills builders and awards and take part in amazing challenges, travel the world and develop skills across our six themes. Ranger programme:

• Build your skills – members of Rangers can take on a vast array of awards and qualifications. These range from our Leadership Qualification – which trains girls to run their own unit – to the internationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
• Support your peers – want to help younger girls to navigate issues like body confidence and mental well-being? Our peer education programme gives members of Rangers the unique opportunity to provide in-unit sessions on issues that affect girls and young women.
• Raise your voice – Girlguiding is passionate about giving girls a voice. As a member of Rangers, you could join our delegation at the British Youth Council, or shape Girlguiding’s own policy and research as part of our fantastic Advocate panel.
• Travel the world – from working on a development project in a remote village, to representing UK guiding at an international conference, you’ll have the chance to take on some life-changing international adventures
